Designed for iPhone Duo
iPhone Duo has two screens: a 5.4-inch outer screen, held in portrait, and a 7.6-inch folding inner screen that opens like a book into landscape, with the hinge down the middle.
Bridgehead designs for both by Apple's own guidelines. These are our rules for the surfaces below.
- Closed and open. One control strip down the right edge. The Dynamic Island, status bar, toolbar and tab bar share it, top to bottom, and the content gets an unbroken area to its left.
- On a table. Set down partly folded like a small laptop, the content is in the top half and the controls are in the bottom half. Nothing to tap sits on the fold.
- Split View and two windows. Each strip stays on its outer edge: the left window's down the left edge, the right window's down the right.
- Open, turned to portrait. Ordinary top and bottom bars return. It is the one pose that keeps them.
These follow Apple's Designing for iPhone Duo.
